Hi,
Sorry, I can´t write in Dutch well enough though I can read it. Thanks for your work.
That is very concerning, particularly the doctor´s tweets.
I have also heard of reliable sources of hospital IC personnel saying that the news about overflowing hospitals is a total exaggeration, a laughable one. The remarks by that doctor, make me wonder, is it really a doctor? or a person posing as one? It is concerning that nothing is done if it is really a doctor.
There are too many complacent people around, living in good housing, used to a good economy, past reliable governments and news. They feel they can sit back, get vaccinated or wait for their turn and relax, while following the measures, till they can travel again later in the year. They don´t question anything, they just trust. Complacency is never good. Having seen how my own country went downhill, I see that process coming here too although it will be different here, of course. Anyway it is a world trend, with neoliberalism. In my country we also had a prohibitive housing market to start with; young people and ordinary hard working people were excluded, just like here.
You are doing a great job, Annelies.
Glenn Greenwald has created his own news site, and he constantly denounces enormous misinformation and fake news spread by mainstream journalists.
Best wishes,
Maria (a housewife with too much time :-))
